Blue Forty was approached by Duxbury McIntosh Architects to assist in the design and development of a remodel/addition to an existing 4,000 SF home located in Los Altos Hills, California. The design features a new guest room/office wing, which intersects the existing gabled roof form and creates a dynamic vaulted entry and dining room. A new master bathroom and expansion of the existing kid's bedrooms increase the functionality of their spaces.
The courtyard, which was created by the new addition on the front of the house, creates a dynamic courtyard, enhancing the entry sequence to the house. Our architectural design and documentation scope included mechanical, electrical, and lighting design, which we feel is integral to the successful design of a project. The project broke ground in early 2020 is currently occupied by the owners.
